This is a new initiative, designed to offer Birmingham Swimmers (age 8/9/10 Yrs on 16th Oct), Volunteers (new and experienced),
and Officials (qualified and trainee) the opportunity to take part in a gala which is intended for up and coming swimmers who
have limited/no experience of competitive swimming (there are no qualifying times). For further information - and to download

The Club is proud to announce that David Geiss and Dave Marsh have been recognised by the ASA for their enduring and outstanding contributions to their sport. David has been awarded the Regional Aquaforce award for his 50 years of commitment to Water Polo in the County and Region, while Dave has been acknowledged for the many roles he has taken on to support swimmers of all abilities since 1964 - and in particular his outstanding contribution to Boldmere SC since 1985. Both of our Regional Aquaforce Winners - who are pictured (above) receiving certificates from the Chairman - will be invited to the ASA National Gala Dinner in October. Congratulations to both Daves from all BSC members - past and present.

Following a collection by Boldmere parents and swimmers Head Coach Ash Cox was presented with a set of surprise
wedding gifts by Club Chairman Phil Littler during his last training session before his wedding on 31st July.
Good luck to Ash and bride Louisa who will be jetting off on a three-week holiday to America for their
honeymoon after the big day.

The third set of entries has now been sent to Worcester SC, making a new record number of entries for the Worcester Open from Boldmere with a grand total of 45 swimmers and 329 swims - 30 girls entered into 221 races and 15 boys competing in another 108.

Ellie Simmonds trained with BSC - her home club - for two days following her triumphs at the IPC World Championships. Ellie displays her haul of medals - including Four S6 Golds (400F/S (WR), 50F/S, 200IM (WR), 100F/S (WR)) and her first international relay medal (4x100F/S Silver) before joining her clubmates at two Wyndley sessions.
Boldmere swimmers enjoyed a successful week at the British Gas - Swim Wales Summer Nationals 2010 held in Swansea.
